EzPhone Recorder Standard is a single-line Windows PC application designed to monitor and record landlines, phone handsets, or mobile devices. Setting it up involves pairing the software with external hardware—such as a dedicated voice modem or a phone recording adapter—to route audio into your computer.

Here is the step-by-step guide to installing, configuring, and utilizing the software. Phase 1: Hardware Setup

Before configuring the application, you must bridge your phone line to your computer.

Acquire Equipment: Ensure you have a standard voice modem or a dedicated phone recording adapter.

Line Connections: Plug one end of your phone adapter into the telephone wall jack or your smartphone’s audio jack.

PC Connections: Connect the opposite end of the adapter into your computer’s USB port or microphone jack.

Note: If you are using a handset-based adapter, pass the cable connection directly between the computer and the physical phone handset. Phase 2: Software Configuration

Once the physical lines are tied to the PC, configure the audio pathways inside the software.

Open Hardware Menus: Click the Setup menu located on the main EzPhone Recorder menubar.

Select Device Routing: Choose the Phone Recording Lines & Devices option.

Assign the Hardware: Locate your connected voice modem or adapter from the available dropdown menu.

Save Parameters: Click OK to register the designated device line.

Troubleshooting: If you experience an “Internal application error” on launch, look inside the software installation folder and run the Dao35Redist.exe application to fix the program’s background database mapping. Phase 3: Core Features and Daily Operation

The Standard Edition operates on a single line and captures data locally.

Manual Recording: To immediately start recording when a call connects, click the Record (Standard Edition) button on the main workspace toolbar.

Automated Recording: The software monitors lines automatically. It will auto-trigger a recording whenever a phone number dials out or when active voice frequencies are detected on an incoming connection.

Data Log Management: There is no cap on recording lengths as long as your hard drive has free space. The app automatically logs incoming Caller ID data, allows you to append custom notes/memos to call logs, and features a built-in search tool to comb through historical audio files.

Notifications & Legal Disclaimers: You can configure the system to drop instant text summary notifications to an email address when new messages save.
